Opening the season: the checklist for agriturismi and B&Bs
Updated 12 October 2026
Applies in Italy: the rules in this article are for agriturismi, B&Bs, campsites and other holiday accommodation in Italy.
In short. Before reopening it's worth reviewing four things: compliance (CIN, Alloggiati Web, tourist tax, ISTAT), safety (detectors and extinguishers), rooms and prices, and sales channels. Half a day of checks now saves ten scrambles once the season has started.
The first guest of the season doesn't wait for you to be ready. They just arrive. This list is about being found in order, instead of discovering something's missing while they're at the door.
1. Compliance
- CIN: displayed outside and in all listings. If you don't have it, start here.
- Alloggiati Web: credentials active and working. How and when to send registrations.
- Tourist tax: rates updated to the municipality's rules. What changed in 2026.
- ISTAT: regional portal ready for reporting. What to report.
2. Safety
- Working gas and carbon monoxide detectors, compliant extinguishers in the right places. What you really need.
- A complete first-aid kit.
- Emergency numbers visible in the room.
3. Rooms and prices
- A round of the rooms: what broke during the closure, what's missing.
- Price list updated for the new season.
- Guest guide revised: times, Wi-Fi, local tips.
4. Sales channels
- Calendars open on the portals, with closing dates blocked.
- Sync between portals checked, so you don't end up selling the same room twice.
- Photos and descriptions still accurate.
Where does Fattore come in?
Much of this list (registrations, tourist tax, ISTAT, bills, cleaning, guest guide) lives in one place with Fattore, ready from the first guest. You can install it yourself with a simple guide, or be walked through it step by step on a call. See the modules or the integrations.
Frequently asked questions
When should I do these checks?
A few weeks before reopening, calmly. In the low season things get fixed without a guest waiting.
Does the CIN need redoing every year?
No, the CIN is one-time. Each season you only check it's still displayed and present in all listings.
Where do I start if I'm opening for the first time?
With compliance: CIN, Alloggiati Web credentials, the municipality's tourist-tax rules. They're the base everything else rests on.
